What happened to the Economy server?

I am a long time player and supporter (I had the most expensive membership thingy) of the economy server, I logged on today after a year of playing and I have been told its shut down.

Can anyone give me some info of what happened?

 

I think it was recently deleted or closed although I've heard (?) it is being re-released soon but that hasn't come from any staff member. I'm not sure if donor ranks transferred to the new server.

Good afternoon, Mr. Small.

Several months ago we released the 1.12 version of SkyBlock on .Net and moved the previous version over to a "Classic" server. At the time Org was empty nearly every day so the resources it used were redirected towards the new release. This has obviously created a bit of a problem with some of the returning Org players, especially previous Donors.

However, good news: You are not forgotten, VerySmall. NoobCrew and CypriotMerks are aware and some ideas were put forth on how to handle the changeover. While we are waiting for a decision I would highly encourage you to make a thread in the "Donor & Donation Issues" section (or I could move this thread to there) with 1) Your in-game name and 2) What previous rank you had on Org.

When we know the way forward someone will go through the open Donor issues and assist the Org folks. In the meantime if you have any ideas or things you would like to see please feel free to suggest them!

After the new server got released.

Noobcrew and the Developers shut it down like Club Penguin.

 

A lot happened on that server alone, and a lot caused it to go down in flames. Mainly, it wasn't as popular as the Survival server. The Economy server's community was in a way like a family because so little players went there, that they knew each other well. Sadly, everyone just moved on and the server went deserted/abandoned. It was never as updated as Survival was, wasn't given the same attention and ended up fading out.
