Look, you seem like a cool kid and all, but you are honestly too immature. Your overuse of "LOL" and "hahhaha" gives me the impression that i'd ignore you on the spot, but since you'd be staff member, I'd still see your messages. I don't mean to sound rude and all, but to be a staff member, you need to be formal to act.

Apart from that, you seem to have a tendancy to... Kiss a**. I feel that this would mean that you would act furthermore immaturely, and would also be bias. Bias as in, always on the mods side. When a situation occurs that you need to handle, you need to treat your staff members like ordinary people. It's a team, but not a f*ckfest. What I mean is, if you treat the situation in an unbias manner, the player will get a fair punishment. Not like, lets say, if 1 staff member says he saw the person break a rule, but without full evidence. you can't then believe his/her word. You'd need to investigate further, and find proper evidence yourself. My point is that if all staff members acted like this, the server honestly would still be thriving. Staff being bias means they can just delete threads whenever they "dislike the topic" or "Don't like the person", and players being banned unfairly means that less players will want to play. I feel like you'd negatively contribute to the drop in players.

TLDR; You're kind, but you're too kind.

No support. You need proper criticism. If you are to be a good mod, which I feel you can be if you try hard enough to change, you need to learn to take criticism and develop upon it. This is something that is not evident to me, in the current staff team. Instead, most (Some exceptions) decide to simply ban / mute the person who is "Being a nuisance". I'll Come check again in a few months.

 

I completely understand. People have criticised me before for acting 'too' formal, so I try to make jokes and be as friendly as possible. I would never be biased, and would always be willing to investigate as far as possible.
If I was a moderator, I would of course be formal. I think, when I see people kicked for 'Spammy' I think I'd rather do 'Spam.' because 'Spammy' iis less formal then what I personally would do. *please don't take offence, any mods that read this, it's just that I wouldn't do it myself.*
With that post you showed, I completely understand why you think I quote on quote 'Kiss a**', but I was being truly honest and I really do love the server.

I take back some of what I said. I personally felt you were only nice to certain people to benefit yourself getting promoted, but I think you're just kind. Something that I didn't bring up was that I feel that the staff team lacks a really open person, who talks a lot. I think you'd be great for that. This would definitely loosen tension between staff bias, and even help die it down - One of the reasons staff are perceived to be bias is that they'll only be nice to people they know, which, is absolute bullcrap if you ask me.

 

Well thank you! I understand what you felt, I guess it does look a little strange, seeing someone being so nice all the time... I just like to be as friendly as possible, so they if anyone ever needed anything they could come and talk to me! I'm a very open person, I don't mind to say things that maybe people would want to know.

in situations such as when being on the server, you don't need to be formal. LOL and hahahaha are fine. Other times... not so much. She's done a good job controlling that.

But Laini, even though I will continue to support your application I agree with Dill.

When Cypriotmerks "hires" you to become mod, he doesn't want you to be a "Mr. Nice-man" (or women), however, do treat people right

Of course, I understand that I have to be firm and sometimes that will upset a player, but that would be my job and I by all means know what it would take.
