Currently: Zombies drop rotten flesh, which with no villagers to trade it with adds nothing to gameplay. It does, however, consume server resources in the form of additional entities and hopper glut. Suggestion: Set the drop rate to 0%. Impact: The impact to performance would be minimal, but positive. There would be no further impact to the server. Effort: Minimal.
Honestly, this doesnt sound like such a bad idea, rotten flesh is pretty useless. Its mainly used as just joke things. Full Support.
Honestly, I love these college format suggestions. @everyone take notes Moving onto my thoughts, it's not a bad idea to be honest, but I don't want to have an item simply vaulted, so maybe reduce the drop rate to 1% or 0.5%
i do too because if you had enough iron you could make a sorting system which you could make rotten the filter item
I don't believe that the pigzombies are taken into account for this suggestion. For hypothetical reasons, consider this a suggestion for zombies only. And the suggestion isn't aimed to aid other loot drop rates, it's to sort of deal with a nuisance in a proper manner
Removing just zombie drops will make them drop what apart from rotten flesh. The drop rates should stay the same and if zombie’s get changed other people might want other mobs to change
Zombies will still have a chance of dropping iron ingots, carrots, and potatoes. You know, all the good stuff. The argument that we shouldn't change zombie drops because then other people might want other mobs to change is a great example of the slippery slope fallacy. #AppealToLogic How much does having rotten flesh improve the game for you? Wouldn't having a less laggy server be better?
It shouldn’t be changed, I know players who give it away or use it as an inexpensive dog food. if we was to lose that, players who don’t have /god would also have to use their own food that they need to feed their dogs as well
it's not that people don't want it, it's that people don't want it to be a drop when something drops, it is considered an entity, just like when something spawns, and the more entities there are the more lag there is so once it's picked up it doesn't matter much but if we remove it as a drop then it won't create an entity meaning less lag
Neutral I think removing rotten flesh drops totally wouldn’t be good since what would happens with all the flesh people have would it be considered as a “rare” I think just making the drop rate lower would be the way to go
It would barley make a difference in the lag the reason the server lags isn’t because of entities Removing rotten flesh would kinda make the game feel modded and easier for you because you don’t have to work on sorting things or stuff like that If we made everything easy then no one would play. If we had automated shops who would restock them? Is we a mob only drop the good items then their wouldn’t be a challenge aspect to skyblock
Because it could of been too op? Making it too easy to get armor. It should remain as a challenge and not be all easy
going to be blunt here; how many times are we going to change aspects of the server just for people who grind pigmen? Whatever the change, whether or not it’s implemented, do remember there are other people who play the server, consider them too. What you do affects more people than you realise. I would say more, however it would be too off-topic.
It would be nice to see the drop rate of rotten flesh reduced. There's at least 1k DCs of rotten flesh burned a day, probably more. As long as people farm pigman, there will always be an excess of rotten flesh. Lowering how much there is could have positive results for everyone As an alternative, or along with reduced rates, we could also add use for rotten flesh. In the past, I have seen servers with crafting recipes where 9 rotten flesh is used to craft 1 leather. Or something surrounded by 8 rotten flesh to craft 1 leather. This would provide some use and value to rotten flesh.
