    The Rule is
    - Disrespect/Harassment:
Do not disrespect or harass any member on forums, this is not tolerated.

i think it should be more like
    - Disrespect/Harassment:
Do not disrespect or harass any member on forums, unless given specific permissions to do so.

the reason for this is more of like jokingly like the roast me threads. They arent meant to insult the persons and the persons have given permission to disrespect them by making a thread called roast me

No lol, these roast me things can lead to an unholy magnitude of drama that will probably lead up to causing irreversible damage to player friendships. As friendly as it seems, it's just like playing baseball in a glass house and drama is bound to occur. No support

No support. If you and your friends are joking like roasting each others, disrespecting each others, death threats, etc, then it should be done privately so no one can take it the wrong way if you both joked in public and get reported for it. The same thing for Roast me threads, its best if done privately not opened up to everyone to roast the person creating the thread and causing some unnecessary drama, flaming, etc between the players.

As I said, irreversible damage. If I were to say something to you on a "roast me" thread that hit too close to home and I didn't realize, the damage will have already been done. That's one of many possible ways things can go down south. We shouldn't beg for drama and controversy among us as players and friends.

No support I think the rules shouldn’t be changed for 1 specific thread game that people make I think people will kinda agree with this. It just looks bad if the rule would be as you said.

It’s not harassment if you have permission. That’s a completely different case.

"Roast Me" threads are often archived for a variety of reasons, with the rule specifically prohibiting harassment and disrespectful comments being only a small part of the final decision. It is extremely difficult to keep these sorts of threads civil, as players will often seek out "roast me" threads made by players that they dislike, just to heavily insult them, for no reason, while falsely assuming that they cannot be punished because the original poster gave players permission to do so. If the official rules allow players to insult each other, if given "permission", we would also be required to define what does and does not count as consent, and end up having to deal with the issue of various users trying to use this rule to "justify" their rude comments, by either claiming they were given consent on another platform, twisting the words of the targeted individual, or taking their comments out of context.

For the most part, players that reply to these sorts of threads are those who have stronger opinions, as there would be no need for someone that either does not know the player, or does not care about them or what they do on the server, to reply to "roast me" threads. This is known as voluntary response bias, which essentially states that only those with strong opinions are significantly more likely to reply, as those that don't care as much won't feel the need to "waste their time", per se, replying to a thread in which they don't really have a preference or opinion, meaning that the majority of the responses are more likely to be negative, and occasionally intended to genuinely offend or hurt the creator of the thread, rather than trying to just have fun.

This will only ever lead to problems, and players should not be given an opportunity to insult other members of the community, under the assumption that they cannot be punished if the player asked for it. For these reasons, staff generally close these types of threads in order to avoid potential future arguments, and deescalate the situation before someone has a chance to actually offend other players, in a non-joking manner. If close friends would like to joke around with each other, through private messaging, there is nothing that we can do to stop that, nor would it be our place to do so, as those situations generally only involve players that all involved parties already feel comfortable enough with to trust that they will not try to be truly offensive. The problem with public threads is that anyone can reply to them, even players with whom the original poster may have serious disagreements or issues with. This is not to say that player should not be able to joke around with each other when appropriate, but rather that it should not turn into an open invitation for the entire server to intentionally try to "roast" others, which almost always results in either a truly offensive comment, or a misunderstanding that gets blown out of proportion.

    No Support,

Although it is not serious to some, these types of things should never happen. Skyblock is meant to be fun, friendly, and positive whether it is on forum or in game. We should never joke around freely as we may never know what everyone will perceive it as and the affects it may have.
